The academic and non-academic achievements she achieved during her studies at POS Medan turned out to be fruitful and Freesia Liuz received the OCAC Scholarship for Outstanding Students in 2024.
Freesia Liuz got information about the scholarship from the Indonesian Taiwan Alumni Association (ICATI) of North Sumatra. Where, the scholarship registration and selection process was carried out at ICATI North Sumatra.
“The requirement is to send the required documents (grade 1-3 high school grades, TOCFL language proficiency certificate, and other supporting files),” said Freesia.
When asked about the preparations made to win a scholarship to Taiwan, Freesia said that her report card grades during high school from grade 1 to grade 3 had to be consistent and high, then she had a certificate of Mandarin and English language proficiency, as well as preparing other important documents that could strengthen her.
“My ambition after receiving this scholarship is to be able to finish college on time, build the best career in the future, and be able to make my parents proud,” he said.
For Freesia, the most memorable experience as a scholarship recipient to study abroad was when the results of the scholarship selection were announced. She felt very happy because she succeeded in becoming one of the scholarship recipients.
After observing and participating in the selection, Freesia shared tips to successfully pass the scholarship selection, namely studying diligently and having an optimistic and polite attitude.
“The reason I took part in the selection to get a scholarship abroad, such as to Taiwan, was my own motivation to be independent and by obtaining this scholarship, I can help ease my parents’ burden,” he said.
In particular, Freesia expressed her gratitude to the entire PrimeOne School family, especially to the educators who have shaped, taught and trained her independence in preparing for a better future.
