POS.SCH.ID – Her full name is Freesia Liuz, an alumna of the cooperative education unit (SPK)/international school PrimeOne School for the 2023/2024 academic year, continuing her education at the National  Taiwan  University of Science and Technology majoring in Computer Science and Information Engineering.

The daughter of Woen Shen Sen and Leny Juliawaty Roesli during her time at  PrimeOne School Medan  has achieved  academic and non-academic achievements  , including Best of the Best (BOB) Ranking 2 for the 2023/2024 Academic Year, English Language Ambassador for the 2022/2023 Academic Year, and MC for various events, as well as winner of the English Language Olympiad.

The academic and non-academic achievements she achieved during her studies at  POS  Medan turned out to be fruitful and Freesia Liuz received  the OCAC Scholarship  for Outstanding Students in 2024.

Freesia Liuz got information about the scholarship from the Indonesian Taiwan Alumni Association (ICATI) of North Sumatra. Where, the scholarship registration and selection process was carried out at ICATI North Sumatra.

“The requirement is to send the required documents (grade 1-3 high school grades, TOCFL language proficiency certificate, and other supporting files),” said Freesia.

After passing the selection and being declared to have passed, Freesia received a scholarship in the country’s currency and in rupiah of around 100,000NTD/year, a total of 400,000NTD or around Rp200 million. The scholarship components obtained include tuition fees, living expenses, research funds and other needs to support lectures.

When asked about the preparations made to win a scholarship to Taiwan, Freesia said that her report card grades during high school from grade 1 to grade 3 had to be consistent and high, then she had a certificate of Mandarin and English language proficiency, as well as preparing other important documents that could strengthen her.

“My ambition after receiving this scholarship is to be able to finish college on time, build the best career in the future, and be able to make my parents proud,” he said.

For Freesia, the most memorable experience as a scholarship recipient to study abroad was when the results of the scholarship selection were announced. She felt very happy because she succeeded in becoming one of the scholarship recipients.

After observing and participating in the selection, Freesia shared tips to successfully pass the scholarship selection, namely studying diligently and having an optimistic and polite attitude.

“The reason I took part in the selection to get a scholarship abroad, such as to Taiwan, was my own motivation to be independent and by obtaining this scholarship, I can help ease my parents’ burden,” he said.

In particular, Freesia expressed her gratitude to the entire PrimeOne School family, especially to the educators who have shaped, taught and trained her independence in preparing for a better future.
