POS.SCH.ID | MEDAN – Many alumni of the Satuan Pendidikan Kerjasama (SPK) or PrimeOne School (POS) Medan international school have achieved national and international achievements. Of the many alumni who continued their education to college, one of them is Josephine Christensen who completed her high school education at POS Medan and received a scholarship from the Shanghai Government Scholarship Type A.
Josephine received a scholarship to Tongji University Shanghai, China majoring in Environmental Design.
The daughter of Darman & Melys Chrisna, during her education at POS Medan, has achieved achievements as Mandarin Language Ambassador, Mandarin MC, winner of several Mandarin speech competitions, Chinese Bridge Hopeful Champion, CLAVE short video contest winner (team), AEGIS Student Council, Top 10 POS Star.
“The initial stages that I had to go through were filling out the form, collecting the files, taking the online test, and the final process was taking the Medical Check Up or a comprehensive health examination,” said Josephine.
The amount of scholarship he received, the exact number is not written but what is certain is that he received a full scholarship including school fees, insurance, dormitory, and monthly allowance. Then, the scholarship components also include living expenses and research funds.
“With this scholarship, I can ease the burden on my parents. Although at the beginning of the selection, I had to divide my time for schoolwork and preparation for the selection to obtain a scholarship,” he said.
After successfully entering Tongji University Shanghai, China, Josephine wanted to get good academic results, and maintain her achievements. Because, the most impressive thing about getting this scholarship is the process of getting a scholarship quota universally (all covered by the scholarship provider).
Specifically, Josephine advised her juniors at POS Medan to also actively participate in activities outside of school such as competitions related to school lessons. and most importantly, improve academic grades while studying in high school.
“To broaden your insight and improve your abilities, increase your participation in activities that can increase our knowledge about many things,” he said.
Josephine also did not forget to convey her impressions while studying at POS Medan, she gained a good experience where students focused more on practice so that they could deepen their abilities, especially in the field of digital technology.
